BOTOX® is a FDA approved non-surgical treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of wrinkles. BOTOX® relaxes the muscles of the face by blocking certain chemical signals from nerves, which cause muscles to contract. Overtime, the contraction of these muscles creates fine lines and wrinkles on the overlying skin. The most common facial muscles to be treated with BOTOX® are the areas around the eyes, forehead, and in between the eyebrows.
BOTOX® will temporarily decrease the appearance of these fine lines and wrinkles. Our team will numb the area that is to be treated with the BOTOX® with either a topical anesthesia, ice, or vibration anesthesia (which uses massage to reduce discomfort). We use a thin needle to inject tiny amounts of BOTOX® into your skin and muscles. Most people report minimal discomfort during the procedure.
